Year 8 pupil, Holly Weedall, has been selected to run cross country for England.
Following her strong performance in the English National Schools Cross Country Championship in Leeds on Saturday 17th March 2018, Holly has been selected to run for England. Holly finished eighth in the Minor Girls event, securing her place in the team as a representative of Weaverham High School and Cheshire and narrowly edging out a runner from Merseyside. This achievement was made more significant by the fact that Holly was competing, for the most part, against girls who were a year older than her.
On Saturday 24th March Holly won her England vest competing for the England Minor Girls Cross Country team in the international race. Holly finished in a superb 10th place and was the seventh girl home for England, improving on her performance the previous weekend. The team were overall winners in the race.
