Parents should have now received notification from Cheshire West and Chester Council regarding those pupils who have been awarded a place for Year 7 at Weaverham High School in September 2026.

We have a well-developed process for the induction of pupils new to the school, over the period from now until June, there will be many behind the scenes actions taking place. A member of our Transition Team will be in contact with your child’s primary school to find out more information about so we can start to prepare for them joining our school community. In addition, we intend to work with primary colleagues to arrange a face to face visit. This will give your child the opportunity to meet a key member of staff and Weaverham Pupil Ambassadors, so when they arrive at the school there is at least a few faces they can recognise.

All Year 6 pupils are invited to attend Weaverham High School from Tuesday 30th June to Friday 3rd July to find their way around the school, meet their Form Tutor and to begin to make friends.  The primary schools know of this expectation already.

It is important for our induction week planning that we have an accurate list of pupils who are starting at Weaverham High School. If you no longer require the place you have been offered , please decline this place via the link included in the Cheshire West and Chester letter, could I also ask that you email AdmissionsCWAC@cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk AND admissions@weaverhamhighschool.com as soon as possible. Please ensure that you have secured a place at an alternative school before you submit your decline notification for Weaverham High School.

Tutor Presentation

This meeting will take place on Thursday 18th June at 6pm.

This is an important meeting as it allows us to talk to you about the way the school is organised and gives you an opportunity to meet your son/daughter’s form tutor. The form tutor plays an important role in the pupil’s life at the school and will be your first point of contact should a problem arise.

This evening is designed for parents. Owing to the number of parents who usually attend it is not possible to fit pupils in the hall as well and therefore we ask them not to attend. Mr Norton, Head of Year 7, has arranged with the Headteachers of the primary schools for the pupils to come into school and join us for four days from Tuesday 30th June to Friday 3rd July

Guide for Parents and Pupils

When your child is awarded a place at Weaverham High School you need to complete and return an admission registration form before your child starts. We need to have contact details for all those with parental responsibility and in addition we need emergency and medical information. We are also required to collect information regarding ethnic background. This must be returned to the school before your child starts.

AGREEMENT
