Parental Forum
At Weaverham High School, we aim to offer the very best learning experience that we can, driven by the very highest quality teaching. However, in these times of great change in education, it can be sometimes quite bewildering for you as parents to know how you can best support your child, especially when they enter the exam years. Therefore, we have establish a Parent’s Working group, and we hope that this might be something that you would be willing to consider joining.
The purpose of the group is twofold. Firstly, for us to get a better understanding of what our pupils’ learning looks like from the parents’ perspective. What do you feel we are doing well and what might we wish to consider further in order to best support your child’s learning? You may have strong views on the types of homework that work well or you may have questions about how we use marking and feedback. If you are a KS4 parent, you may have thoughts or questions about revision or exam readiness. Your feedback is valuable to us and our aim is that the Parental Forum Group will provide parents with a forum to share their thoughts and receive reassurance or advice. The second aim of the group is to provide you as parents with the tools that you need to best support your child as he/she progresses in their learning at Weaverham High School. We are aware that we have lots of wonderfully supportive parents who may sometimes be at a loss as to how to support their child, so we would like to provide you with the practical tools and resources to enable you to confidently support your child.
Please be assured that this is not intended to be a huge time commitment, we really hope that you will consider being part of this new, exciting initiative which has the potential to impact favourable upon all our pupils. If you have further questions, please contact
