Vaping

Vapes are electronic devices designed to allow people to inhale nicotine in a vapour. Using a vape is known as vaping. Vapes are also available without nicotine
The Law:

• Vapes are cannot be sold to anyone under the age of 18
• Disposable vapes with more than 600 puffs are illegal in the UK
• You may see vapes with 30mg and 50mg nicotine levels being sold but these are also illegal as they ate above the 20mg limit and can cause serious health issues
  Important Facts
• Vapes and vape liquid is banned from our school site. Any pupil found with banned items will face serious consequences.
• Vapes with more than 20mg nicotine or more than 600 puffs are unregulated and are likely to be contaminated with unsafe and unknown ingredients
• Nicotine is highly addictive. Young people can become physically or psychologically dependent on it. This means their body or mind will keep telling them they need to vape.
• Nicotine can make anxiety and depression even more difficult to manage. Nicotine also affects memory, concentration, self control and attention, especially in developing brains
• Vapes and vape liquid is banned from our school site. Any pupil found with banned items will face serious consequences.
